The Hulsewé-Wazniewski Foundation (Hulsewé-Wazniewski Stichting, HWS) is dedicated to advancing the teaching and research of Chinese archaeology, art, and material culture at Leiden University. In 2018, I was honored to serve as the Hulsewé-Wazniewski Visiting Professor, during which I delivered two public lectures, mentored Ph.D. students, and collaborated with curators, faculty, and students in reviewing the University’s museum collections. Notably, one of these lectures was presented as a keynote address to the Asian Art Society of the Rijksmuseum, marking its centennial anniversary.
