Collaborative Research Project on the Cold War, the State, and Art
Funded by the Institute of Modern History, Academia Sinica
This project examines the relationship between state power, ideology, and artistic production through the framework of the Cold War. Moving beyond a primarily domestic account of postwar Taiwanese art, it situates its development within global Cold War networks of international politics, cultural exchange, regional interaction, and transnational mobility. The project also serves as a platform for scholarly talks, intellectual exchange, and discussion of emerging directions in the field.
