My CDA project, “Non-Textual/Non-Verbal Communication of the Qing Imperial Governance,” explores how visual and material productions—often marginalized in historical studies—can illuminate the Qing Empire’s core concerns and governing strategies, redefining what constituted the very “center” of imperial identity and authority.
